Caramm V was the beautiful fifth planet[3] of the Talcene sector's Caramm system,[1] part of the Slice portion[2] of the Mid Rim.[1]

This section of the article assumes 100% game completion of Star Wars: The Old Republic: Rise of the Hutt Cartel. Any alternate stories may be noted in the "Behind the scenes" section. The events in this section may or may not have been confirmed as canon within the Star Wars Legends continuity.

A terrestial world, Caramm V was neutral during the Galactic War between the Galactic Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire.[4] Around 3638 BBY,[5] several prominent politicians on Caramm V were discovered by an individual affiliated with one of the sides in the ongoing struggle between the Republic and Sith Empire to be funding pirate activities in the sector. The slicers who discovered the data proceeded to blackmail those politicians into ending Caramm V's neutrality.[4]

During the Clone Wars, a conflict fought between the Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems[3] over three thousand years later,[5] the dictator Ado Eemon subjugated the planet with a fleet of droid gunships, killing all threats to his rule and ravaging the world in the process.[3] He allowed the Confederacy to utilize Caramm V's enormous manufacturing facilities during the war and supplied them with the droid gunships.[6]

Behind the scenes[]

Caramm V was first mentioned in Curtis Saxton's 2005 reference book Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith Incredible Cross-Sections.[7] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Caramm system, and therefore Caramm V, in grid coordinates R-8.[2]
