The Twin DF.9 was a variant of the DF.9 turret placement, manufactured by Golan Arms. It was equipped with two laser cannons and an advanced weapons system. It could fire twice as fast as the original DF.9.[1]

The Twin DF.9 was first mentioned in the Imperial Sourcebook, a Star Wars Legends sourcebook for West End Games's Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game, released in October 1989.[2] The Twin DF.9 was first mentioned in the new Star Wars canon in De Agostini's Explosives, Heavy Weapons, and Power Sources reference book,[1] published by De Agostini in Spain on February 2, 2021[3] and Altaya in France on February 5, 2021.[4] It was published in Mexico on March 22, 2021.[5]
