Arti Shah is an actress who has played several Star Wars characters. She worked as the scale motion capture double for Lupita Nyong'o (Maz Kanata),[1] Avga Rosene (on D'Qar),[source?] and Gwellis Bagnoro (in Takodana Castle) and a GNK-series power droid in Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens.[1] In Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi she donned her Gonk suit (affectionately named Evie on set) once again, and also played a Canto Bight patron (which was ultimately deleted from the final cut of the film).

In Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker, she played a Gonk Droid and the Cyclorrian seen on the Resistance Base stood next to Chewbacca during the rallying Poe Dameron speech.

She was also a creature and droid puppeteer on Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, where she played the Gonk Droid again.

In Andor, Arti Shah played a total of 3 characters. She reprised her role of Avga Rosene and donned the GNK-series power droid AKA Evie suit again. She also played a new, as yet unnamed creature on the planet of Ferrix, seen pottering around at the start of the series and then again during Maarva Carassi Andor's holographic speech in the series finale titled Rix Road (episode).

She is married to illustrator Rutvig Vaid.
