Mexico was a traditional nation of the planet Earth. Located on the continent of North America, it primarily comprised the land south of the Rio Grande River and north of the isthmus of Central America. It was initially settled by American aboriginals including the Maya and Aztec. Its capital was Mexico City.

When Hawaii was bombed in 1944, Mexico joined the United States, Brazil, Canada, and other nations in declaring war on Germany. According to Khan Noonien Singh, in September 1992 Augment Dictator Alexander Newton annexed Mexico into the North American Coalition. By 1996, Augment infighting led to Mexico becoming part of Newton's New American Empire. Asahf Ferris sent her armies to battle in what had formerly been called the country of Mexico.
