Apology

[edit]

I do not take back the comment I made, as I still agree with it. However, I understand that it may have come across as a personal attack against you. I apologize for your feelings for my justified comment. Auror Andrachome (talk) 23:56, 14 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I appreciate your partial un-apology, however threats against other editors to leave an article are never justifiable and remain WP:UNCIVIL. WP:UNCIVIL behaviour is the core issue here. Keep to the articles subject/content and please do not try to attack other editors ~ BOD ~ TALK 00:57, 15 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah that's not an apology that's just a poorly hidden additional insult. Also hey bodney! just wanted to let you know I tip my hat at your your stallwart, tireless defense of the truth. ^^ (PS: can I steal your talk page's green-ness?)--Licks-rocks (talk) 16:16, 22 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Just a courtesy notification that I removed your comment from the above page because I've removed the comment you were replying to per WP:BLP. Please don't restore it. Thanks for understanding. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 15:00, 25 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Yes far better to remove the original offensive violation, I was going to alter mine to be less damning against the editor for making their edit. ~ BOD ~ TALK 15:04, 25 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

PA

[edit]

Read wp:pa accusing edit of biased edits is a PA, especially when what you claim is not even true "Topanga Canyon was recently sold for a tad more than $1.4 million to a corporate entity that public records show is controlled by Patrisse Khan-Cullors,".Slatersteven (talk) 18:24, 11 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I merely said that I believed it to be a biased edit, putting quotation marks to highlight text that was not highlighted in the original, I don't think they were quoting those 2 words, but stressing them. I certainly did not question the truth of the purchase, I simply believe it is a unnecessary and irrelevant factoid to include the sale price and that Khan-Cullors used an agency or company to make the purchase. ~ BOD ~ TALK 20:08, 11 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
We are saying she brought it, she did not a company she runs (note it does not say own, it says in charge of) brought it, this is failed wp:v.Slatersteven (talk) 12:12, 12 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Patrisse Cullors

[edit]

Bodney, Thanks for helping to keep the discussion of Patrisse Cullors civil. Some editors have differing views, but so far we are talking to each other like adults. Some have complained that Wikipedia has become a hostile environment. Thanks for being a polite exception to that. Irenically, Pete unseth (talk) 23:49, 16 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your kind words ~ BOD ~ TALK 00:15, 17 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I have already said something in that discussion. I do not agree that everything on the matter should be deleted pending an agreement which might not arrive. It just gives a terrible impression of Wikipedia as wanting to suppress things. Moonraker (talk) 08:33, 17 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I do not think we should rush to include, Wikipedia is not after all a newspaper chasing down copy for our version of the recent events, but an encyclopedia with the long view as to what is notable in someone biography. Only in the last few days has this story reached the reliable press I believe we can wait a few days for consensus. ~ BOD ~ TALK 09:11, 17 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
