Appendicitis est inflammatio appendicis vermiformis caeci. Inflammatione causa etiam ulcus evolvat ut regio affecta vulneretur vel demum rumpatur. Appendicitis gigni potest infectione bacteriale aut obstructione sanguine ad appendicem causa particuli excrementi indurati quod inhaeret in commeatu appendicis.[1][2] [3] Hernia vel scissura appendici ducere potest a peritonitidem. Optimum remedium notum hodie appendicitem est appendectomia, enim excissio appendicis inflammatae.

  • Typhlitis est inflammatio caeci, non appendicis
  • Perityphlitis est abscessus circum appendicem, inflammatione caeci causa.
