[edit source]Hello, Paulmartin42, and thanks for signing up as a contributor to the Bloom Clock!
To get started, all that you need to do is keep your eyes open for flowers on plants growing outdoors. Then, depending on how well you know plants, you can either try to find the plant using the global keys, or just check the master list where plants are listed by their scientific names.
Assuming you find a log page for the plant you saw, all that you need to do is click [edit] above the list of signatures, and add *~~~~ on a new line below the last signature and above the line that begins with <noinclude>, which will make your signature appear on the profile page.
If you don't find a log page, just add an entry for the plant to the Master List using {{bcp|Scientific name|Common Name}}. Someone can then show you how to create a profile and log page for the plant.
If you don't know the name of the plant you saw, try asking on Bloom Clock/Unknown Plants using the template there. Photographs are very helpful, but if you don't have a digital camera, just give the best description you can and hopefully someone can identify it for you.
After you've logged 10 or more plants as flowering for your location, another bloom clock contributor will help you set up the categories and templates used to construct a key for your region, and try to match up your region to the global keys.

- Hi Paul, Thanks for reply. I'm getting a bit more of a feel now for the Arch pages :)... I hope! Let me know answers to below:
- What is the level of education?
They are teenagers but of quite limited ability
- Is the purpose of the page to provide a homepage for a miscellaneous class quizzes?
Yes as we are told to vary the learning. But I am interested in audio teaching as I have (but not for long - though there will be another sometime) a blind student, that said all like audio and we are moving in that direction
- Is it for a specific class or institution or is the audience more broad (its OK to have material focused for your students)?
I am quite open to who uses my stuff; I perceive though that there are advantages that my (closed in some respects)institution has over a completely open approach. So the opening piece of paper that the students see is adapted to local circumstances.
- Is there perhaps a more descriptive name which could be given to the page. Maybe you just started with the (architectural) "arch" info, and are now starting to blossom? If so, we might think about moving it all to a more meaningfully titled page?
Yes and no. I work idea to idea and arches caught my attention. Last night I was trying to use Live Search/Maps/Birds eye view to produce a quiz that went from one arch type structure to another, eg starting at London Eye.... Various issues - eg Multimap is new usoft map vehicle, no birdeye for Eiffel Tower

[edit source]I got a bit bold and have tried to tidy the page - but please let me know if you want anything changed back or feel free to do so. I've added some categories. Colour
[edit source]You created a page a long time ago named "Colour," moved to "Color" by some obsessive American, I apologize for my fellow U.S. usersfor our parochialism, and the page was under a proposed deletion template, due to expire in less than 30 days. I restored some old content of yours that was erased by an IP editor, and moved the page to your user space on the chance that you might ever find it useful. It is now at User:Paulmartin42/Color.
