Grant played for the University of Alabama Crimson Tide from 2006 to 2009. His best season was 2007, when he rushed for 891 yards and 8 touchdowns. He also caught 26 passes for 176 yards and a touchdown that year. In subsequent years a series of injuries limited his playing time and he was unable to regain his position as a starter.[1]
