Politicial Viewpoint

[edit]

A change was reverted for a couple of reasons – firstly it covered that he took a classical liberal viewpoint, but the paragraph above covered his being director of a ‘classical liberal’ group, so it’s partly to avoid the duplication. Also the content before it relates to being financially disinterested in the topics the Institute publish on, rather than holding no personal political opinions. The things he said on Twitter about funding obviously weren’t backed up with a link, so I’ll have to assume, but the comments about declaring donations must have related to him personally, on his personal Twitter account, as there’s solid verifiable information that the Institute makes clear that it won’t declare its funding.Marty jar (talk) 10:35, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Past-tensing Director General position

[edit]

There have been repeated attempts today to claim that he is no longer in the Director General position.... but the one source that has been provided, from the group itself, says that he remains in position until someone is found to replace him. As such, all such past-tensing and end-dating is premature. -- Nat Gertler (talk) 00:55, 2 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
