Please be more careful about labeling vandalism

This edit that you called vandalism was not. Even if an edit seems suspicious, assume good faith and do some research before acting.--SaskatchewanSenator (talk) 19:13, 28 February 2011 (UTC)

Hi Nathan: Sorry to insert a seemingly irrelevant comment here, but could not figure out how the heck to post a talk. This is about my Michael Owen edit which you just reverted back. I had merely changed the sentence to what the headline of the article is. How is that irrelevant? Michael Owen And The Future Of Newspapers - http://www.techtaffy.com/2011/10/michael-owen-does-an-entire-q-who-needs-journalists/ Please do some research before acting. I second the comment.

Please be more careful about labeling vandalism

The edit to NSW that you called vandalism was not. Even if an edit seems suspicious, assume good faith and do some research before acting. Will undo your change in 7 days time — Preceding unsigned comment added by 119.12.70.215 (talkcontribs) 11:44, 19 March 2011 (UTC)

Warning for false labelling as vandalism

Thanks for responding, you are correct in that the text is unreferenced, and that some in the location may not be proud of the fact. But it would be a matter of debate as to whether the text should be in or not. But my real point is that it is not vandalism. So please do not label the removal as removing vandalism. I note your edit about the famous people in Oak Flats did not have a reference, it was not vandalism either, but I found a reference for it. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 20:06, 23 March 2011 (UTC)

Mitch Nichols

Almost certainly an April Fools joke. The source is just on someones webhosting, not the Brisbanetimes site. If I'm wrong then sorry, but let's wait for a reliable source. Camw (talk) 02:22, 1 April 2011 (UTC)

No problem, always best to be extra skeptical about anything today and into tomorrow with US sites! Camw (talk) 02:30, 1 April 2011 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:NBN State League.jpg

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:NBN State League.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude2 (talk) 05:36, 28 April 2011 (UTC)

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article 2010 Antarctica helicopter crash is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/2010 Antarctica helicopter crash until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 21:04, 29 May 2011 (UTC)

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Fung Kai Hong, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.spiritus-temporis.com/xu-deshuai/club-career.html.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) CorenSearchBot (talk) 13:24, 15 June 2011 (UTC)

The article Robert Vataj has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

no evidence of notability

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 13:50, 20 June 2011 (UTC)

SFC Squad Numbers

Hey Nath,

Those squad numbers are likely legit, they were confirmed by someone that works for the club on SFCU. You are right that we should wait for a reliable source, but I don't think classing it as vandalism is correct and something like uw-unsourced might have been a better talk page template to use. Camw (talk) 04:31, 27 June 2011 (UTC)

Repost of Daniel Severino

A tag has been placed on Daniel Severino requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia, because it appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion process. If you can indicate how it is different from the previously posted material, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. If you believe the original discussion was unjustified, please contact the administrator who deleted the page or use deletion review instead of continuing to recreate the page. Thank you. Sydney FC W-League squad

W-League teams have there own articles eg. Sydney FC W-League. There is no need to publish the Women's squad in the main Sydney FC article for the mens team. A simple link to the women team in the squad section is sufficient. Youth squad is fine as it is an extension/feeder team for the senior squad.

Images: File:Lefranc cyprus.jpg & File:Lefrance2.jpg

Added what I believe to be appropriate and accurate copyright information on both images, that were tagged by this bot and alerted to me on November 21, 2011. Please check, and confirm these are OK. Cheers Nath1991 (talk) 06:20, 22 November 2011 (UTC)

You provided the information the bot was asking for (since the images are free images, the {{Information}} template is a better choice for organizing it). You got the license for File:Lefrance2.jpg slightly wrong, though: wiki.lexcel.be uses the Belgian variant of the Creative Commons Attribution-Sharealike 2.0 license, but you marked it as the generic 3.0 version. --Carnildo (talk) 02:32, 24 November 2011 (UTC)
