Rewriting

[edit]

I've begun rewriting this article (see below, just finished the lead a few days ago), moving from being simply about feminist cultural anthropology to focusing on feminist anthropology in general. My plan for the article is to reorganize it like this:

  • History- relationship between feminist waves and approaches (i.e. early 'add-women-and-stir' approach). Timeline of feminist integration in the whole of anthropology.
  • Feminist Archaeology
  • Feminist Biological Anthropology
  • Feminist Sociocultural Anthropology
  • Feminist Linguistic Anthropology
  • Feminist Anthropology & Cultural Studies

I'll be transforming the article over the next week, so please feel free to chime in here and on the main page if there's anything you want to see added/changed! Thebrycepeake (talk) 17:41, 21 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Rewrite

[edit]

This article is so poorly written as to be bordering on WP:PN. JCDenton2052 (talk) 17:11, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Just had a crack at a rewrite. It's still pretty ropy but I hope a little more legible. Gonzonoir (talk) 21:04, 4 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

How about mentioning Michelle Rosaldo?--24.130.84.50 (talk) 17:02, 19 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

First, I am excited that such a page exits! Second, it definitely needs some revision regarding word choice, grammar, and word placement. I think the layout needs a bit of help as well, but the most important would be the content at this point. --Ggrrl 14:47, 14 May 2012 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gendergirl (talkcontribs)

Hello everyone- I've started re-writing this article COMPLETELY in my sandbox, and would love some feedback as I work. I've corrected the introduction here, and will be completing further parts of the article throughout the month, breaking it down into history; arch(a)eology; biological anthropology; cultural anthropology; and linguistic anthropology. My expertise is in the latter two, but I could definitely use help on the former two! Thebrycepeake (talk) 22:23, 15 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Feminist Cultural Anthropology Subsection

[edit]

Hello, I have added a "Feminist Cultural Anthropology" subsection to this article. The first paragraph of the article talks about the four branches of anthropology (archaeology, biological, cultural, and linguistic), but there is only a subsection for Feminist Archaeology. This is only the beginning of my addition to this article, and I plan to finish writing the Feminist Cultural Anthropology subsection. MusicAndMonkeys (talk) 17:42, 26 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Added Section

[edit]

Hello, Soon I am going to be adding on to the Feminist Cultural Anthropology subsection that I created. I believe that this subsection is needed because the introduction mentions the 4 branches of anthropology (archaeology, biological, cultural, and linguistic), and there is a subsection for archaeology, but not the other 3. I have been working on my addition to this section, and I'm including a link to it in my sandbox here so that any other editors are welcome to make critiques. Thanks! Finished feminist cultural anthropology subsection

[edit]

Hello, I have now added information to the feminist cultural anthropology subsection. It is a broad overview of the discipline, and I am hoping that someone will go in sometime and add more information pertaining to the subject. However, until that time comes, I have provided a great overview of the subsection to make it easy for readers to understand what it's about. Thank you!
