Paddington Bakerloo line ticket hall

Paddington Bakerloo line ticket hall has now reopened following the completion of works to improve the ticket hall.

What we have done

The work at Paddington Tube station have created:

  • Step-free access to Bakerloo line trains from the new plaza on Praed Street
  • A significantly larger Bakerloo line ticket hall, with more ticket gates to speed up journeys within the station
  • Better signs to guide customers through the station
  • An all-round improved and modernised station environment

Entry to the Bakerloo line

Customers can now get to the Bakerloo line directly from the new entrance in the Paddington Square complex. This entrance offers step-free access from the new Plaza on Praed St to the Bakerloo line platforms.

Paddington Square

Great Western Developments has built the new ticket hall as part of the Paddington Square development. Paddington Square is a new public space with offices, shops, restaurants and a landscaped public piazza being built by Great Western Developments, along with other partners.
