Thank you

I have "thanked" the other endorsers at the RfC, but as the "thank" button is not available for IP edits, I'll thank you here. Joefromrandb (talk) 18:24, 17 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Just participating in our group AN study, got lost somehow, and reported what I saw. It didn't take too much research to discover some history on both of you. I reported what I saw on GabeMc but noted also your language is a little rough at times, rougher than my comfort level. Obviously GabeMc has some bias towards this language, as implied on his user page banners. His edit history has demonstrated that he will probably not stop attacking people as long as other editors disagree with his edits until an admin with some balls takes him by the scruff of the neck and has a serious chat. It would be sad to lose such an active editor but this long term aggressiveness shouldn't be tolerated from anybody for the good of the project. 99.251.120.60 (talk) 20:41, 17 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Gabe is one of the finest editors on the project, and I've told him that. Simply put, every article he touches becomes an FA. As content editors go, he's in some rare air; I put him up there with Malleus/Eric. The problem is, he thinks he's always right, and when any editor disagrees with him he takes great personal offense. I'm not the first good-faith editor he's called a troll or baselessly accused of socking and I don't think I'll be the last. During a polite disagreement at Talk:Roger Waters, I told him: "You accomplish more in a day here than I have in three years". His response was to angrily chide me for "wasting his time". It's really a shame, because I've had pleasant experiences working with Gabe before. Joefromrandb (talk) 22:09, 17 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Too bad. Studying this behavior somewhat it seems when editors get too experienced and win a few battles they get "cocky" or perhaps over confident until a bigger guy hits them with a stick. We always have to remember we are dealing with other people with real feelings. This often gets forgotten as other editors become just text or especially IP numbers we can't repeat. Yes, he has done much for the project. I am not into music artists or that field at all. I did play in a band years back though. :) 99.251.120.60 (talk) 22:17, 17 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I saw another demonstration of your technique as identified by my support of the observations of your exaggerated claims there. Blocking all editors with opposing views appears to be working there for you. 99.251.120.60 (talk) 13:18, 18 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked

Hi. In reviewing your edits I noticed that you have not made any productive edits at all, but have repeatedly found drama venues like AN/I and RfC(U). This raises concerns with me that you are a blocked or a banned editor, or someone evading scrutiny for some other reason. I have therefore blocked your editing privilege. If you wish to register an account and make productive edits you are welcome to do so. If you feel this block is unfair you may contest it by posting {{unblock|your reason here ~~~~}} (without the nowiki tags). --John (talk) 17:24, 18 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

What do you make of this?

I suspect user:gothicfilm is connected to user:TheOldJacobite. Both editors are editing the same articles and talkpages around the same time proximity.

For example Talk:Jurassic Park has not been edited in a while, yet gothicfilm and theoldjacobite edit there within hours of each other.[1][2]

Both reverted me on lord of the flies with the exact same reason about the source [3][4] [5][6][7]

Both also edited/discussed E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial [8] [9]

Both also edited/discussed The X-Files [10][11]

theoldjacobite's edit summary on the speculative fiction article is very similar to gothicfilm's ranting about my expansion of the article.

An additional note is their close time proximity to editing articles and talk pages including those that are seldomly edited/discussed. Check the time on the diffs. What does that tell you. As far as I can tell they have had no contact on wiki, but that could indicate a connection, only not to leave evidence of co-ordination.

I'll add more details if I can find them. Let me know what is most advisable.-Taeyebaar (talk) 22:46, 18 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry Taeyebaar, I am not permitted to assist people in ANI anymore It seems to not be permitted by IP editors. Read the block notice. I commented on the wrong bully editor and a witchhunt developed. Worse yet I lost a bet with my classmates and owe each one of them $5. I lasted the longest of any of them yet, though. Now I need to find out which one of them participated here which wasn't allowed in the rules. :) All the best and make sure you review the WP:Policies to identify your specific complaint. You may find you don't actually have a defined complaint or can even work it out been you once you get it clear in your mind. 99.251.120.60 (talk) 23:02, 18 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Ryulong abusive IP sockpuppet 114.48.2.97

Since I know that admins will be stalking this page please note this [one edit] IP sockpuppet troll [post] used to attempt to provoke me. User:Ryulong stalked my edits and reverted this with the exact same comment, in his edit history, made to him at [ANI] after his complaint was revealed to be mostly lies in reports of diffs. Since these interactions on ANI Ryulong has hounded me filing numerous attacks in order to discredit me as a sockpuppet. His vengeance plot apparently worked using his previous [admin experience and tools]. 99.251.120.60 (talk) 23:31, 18 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
