- This story was originally published in the Celebrity Magazine from DC Thomson in 1986. Twit in Space was another of Quinn and Howett's long-running strips similar to Doctor Who?. The cannibal planet was an ongoing plot thread at the time of this particular instalment's publication.
- The closing caption promises that Kevin and Rabbie will give the cannibal planet its "just desserts" in the following week's instalment.
