Dalek control was the base of operations for the Daleks on Skaro and was the heart of the resurrected Dalek Empire after the post-Time War rebuilding of the Dalek City. When the Twelfth Doctor had come to Skaro at the request of a dying Davros, Missy and Clara Oswald exited the Dalek City infirmary but were found by a Dalek War Machine and brought to Dalek control whereupon both they and the Doctor's TARDIS were seemingly exterminated. Mad with grief, the Doctor claimed Davros's chair and entered Dalek control. After holding them hostage for forty-two minutes, he was overpowered by Colony Sarff and returned to the infirmary. Having survived their exterminations, Missy had Clara operate an empty casing to guide her back to Dalek control, attempting to bargain with the Dalek Supreme before all the Daleks shut down and began regenerating.

While Missy managed to stop Davros stealing the Doctor's regenerations, the energy had renewed the decaying Daleks trapped in the Skaro sewer who began attacking the city. When the Doctor and Clara reunited, they returned to Dalek control where the Doctor used his sonic sunglasses to rematerialise the TARDIS, allowing them to escape the collapsing Dalek City.
