For other uses, see Brin.

The USS Brin was a runabout assigned to Warlock Station in the 2360s decade.

Service history[]

In the year 2365, Marion Dulmur and Gariff Lucsly used the Brin, piloted by Lieutenant Commander Mara Kadray, to travel to Kaferia. There they hoped to prevent a Manheim Effect-type vortex from killing Alan Manheim and destroying part of the planet. (DTI novel: Watching the Clock)

Background[]

According to author Christopher L. Bennett's annotations, the USS Brin was named for American scientist and science fiction author David BrinWP, author of The River of TimeWP. The author intended the Brin to be an older type of runabout from the Danube-class.
