Torros was a star system, a binary star located in the galaxy's Alpha Quadrant, in 24th century Cardassian Union space. (ST reference: Stellar Cartography: The Starfleet Reference Library)

History and specifics[]

The Torros system's orbit was the location of a number of worlds, including Torros Minor and third planet Torros III, site of the Torros III Shipyard destroyed in the Dominion War. (ST reference: Star Charts; DS9 episode: "Tacking Into the Wind")

Alternate histories[]

In an alternate reality version of the late 24th century where many familiar political associations had been dissolved, Torros had fallen away from the Cardassian Union and was occupied by the Xindi, with five Xindi starships fortifying the system, a fleet force of a Xindi-Reptilian vice admiral. (ST video game: Conquest)

Background[]

In Star Trek: Conquest, the Torros system was located above the Cardassian extension near the bottom left of the game map, much as it is located in the local space map projections in Star Charts. This system had a high-level rating 3 stars, which modified the mining or research efficiency and the experience advantage of players holding and using the system. There were 3 points of access to the system, through Chin'toka, Bajor and Vega.
