Montana is a geo-political state subdivision of the Human civilization, in the United States of America nation on the North American continent on the planet Earth.

History and specifics[]

The city of Bozeman, Montana, and the surrounding region, was the site of Zefram Cochrane's work on Earth's first successful warp flight in 2063. Shortly after, it was also the site of first contact between humans and Vulcans. (TNG movie: Star Trek: First Contact) 19th century outlaw Eli Hollander, son of gunfighter Frank Hollander, was known as "The Butcher of Bozeman", before arrested in Deadwood, South Dakota for first-degree murder. (TNG episode: "A Fistful of Datas")

Samuel T. Cogley was born in Montana in 2202. (TOS novel: The Case of the Colonist's Corpse)
