Manway was a male individual who lived in the 23rd century.

In 2267, Doctor Manway was part of a Federation science team sent to study the Malurians in the Malurian system. He utilized a private transmitter to send routine reports of his findings back to the Federation. That same year, a week after his latest report, Manway and his science team, along with four billion Malurians, were killed when the space probe Nomad sterilized the system. Around that time, the Malurians sent a distress call, which was picked up by the USS Enterprise. Captain James T. Kirk questioned if Manway transmitted any messages after the distress call, but Uhura could not find any. (TOS episode: "The Changeling")
