Risik was a male Orion plunder sorter who served aboard Cosmia's ship during the late 24th century.
In 2381, Risik was working alongside D'Bora and L'Kar when he told them of his intention to get a chain tattoo. L'Kar told him that those had to be earned, and scoffed at his claim of being capable of rising above his present station. Risik then stated that he wanted to install metal bolts on his head like their crewmate Maleer, prompting L'Kar and D'Bora to mock him for being an unoriginal "plagiarist".
Shortly after, Risik was summoned to the bridge as their ship had encountered a small vessel. Risik was in fact colluding with the vessel's pilot, Nick Locarno, to effect a mutiny. He surreptitiously deactivated his ship's systems, and with Locarno's aid overthrew his captain and first officer, whom he marooned on Sherbal V. Later that year, having joined Locarno's Nova Fleet, Risik was among those who pursued Beckett Mariner in the Detrion system. However, he was unwilling to follow her vessel into a level-7 ion storm. When the trynar shield around the system was subsequently breached by the USS Cerritos, Risik decided to abandon Locarno and flee. The rest of Nova Fleet, disillusioned with the increasingly unstable and controlling Locarno even before the shield was breached, followed suit. (LD: "Old Friends, New Planets")
