A bedroom, or bed chamber, was a room in one's home where one's bed was located. It served as a place for sleeping, playing, sex and storage of personal items such as clothing.

Theela's species referred to bedrooms as "slumber chambers". In 2269, Theela ordered the other women to take the male landing party to the slumber chambers after they collapsed due to the effects of the polarized conductor headbands. The door was secured with a maglock which Spock managed to open with a medical scanner. (TAS: "The Lorelei Signal")

In 2369, Miles O'Brien summoned a security team to his quarters upon the appearance of Rumpelstiltskin in his daughter Molly's bedroom. (DS9: "If Wishes Were Horses")

In 2370, Jadzia Dax told Pel that Quark once attempted but failed to recreate her childhood bedroom accurately in a holosuite after hearing her describe it to Kira Nerys. She appreciated his gesture until he tried to kiss her. (DS9: "Rules of Acquisition")

Tom Paris' most vivid childhood memories were the times that he spent in his room crying. He liked it because it was quiet and people would leave him alone when he locked the door. He recalled reading and playing games there. He also lost his virginity when he was seventeen and his parents were away for the weekend. (VOY: "Threshold")

In 2376, Naomi Wildman played with a hand puppet in her bedroom. (VOY: "Dragon's Teeth")

The bedroom could also be a euphemism for sexual acts. In 2377, the Klingon T'Greth suggested B'Elanna Torres was on the submissive side of a sexual relationship with Kohlar, asking if she was his puppet in the bedchamber as well. (VOY: "Prophecy")

The bedroom Jean-Luc Picard retired to at Château Picard was on the second floor and had a commanding view of the vineyards surrounding the estate. (PIC: "Remembrance")

Guest room[]

A guest room was a bedroom that was reserved for visiting guests. T'Pol's mother's home had a guest room on the south end of her house. The sub-commander mentioned it to Trip Tucker when he asked where he'd stay when they visited in 2154. (ENT: "Home")

While visiting Ezri Dax's family home in 2375, Yanas Tigan asked her daughter to show Miles O'Brien to one of the guest rooms. (DS9: "Prodigal Daughter")

In 2378, Irene Hansen recalled a six-year-old Annika once locking herself in the guest room and refusing to come out because she was upset about being left at her aunt’s farm for the weekend. (VOY: "Author, Author")
