Her 2013
first of all, we coincidentally picked seats next to someone we know
second of all, the whole Alan Watts 'cameo' was funny because i coincidentally read one of his books earlier this day
i could tell you about at least 2 other weird coincidences that happened but let's get to the actual movie:
never have i seen a film this good and yet so aesthetically unpleasing...
i kept thinking to myself how much better this would've been if Sofia Coppola… -

Her 2013
I watched this with the intentions of getting this restrospective look at what people thought would happen with AI and the general disconnect with dating in a more digitized world. To some extent I got that and it really is an interesting thought exercise to compare and contrast the world of Her with our own.
However, I got so much more out of this than just a think piece on AI. Her presents to the viewer an incredibly emotional and…

Her 2013
this was my first time watching this film after ai (chatgpt, stable diffusion, etc.) was introduced to the general public and it feels so different now. when i first saw this years ago i wasn’t able to grasp just how soon a lot of this would actually be possible and how closely it matched the technology in her. suddenly there’s this whole other layer of information that simply wasn’t available when this film came out and it made for an even richer story.
one of my favourite films and i‘m so glad i finally got to see it on the big screen ❤️ -

I Saw the TV Glow 2024
I've never got goosebumps so much while watching a movie. I'm so glad i got to watch this in theaters twice something probably only a handful of people were able to do in germany. it hit so much the first time but even more this time. I can't believe this is a real movie and I can't believe people who say they don't get it or don't think it's scary at all. like fuck this is fucking reality. you know what I'm glad if you don't think this is scary because it's scary as fuck if you get it

Clueless 1995
This is just the perfect movie. Alicia Silverstone‘s performance is so COMMITTED it’s insane! And we simply don’t have movies anymore that have this many great B-Plots and supporting characters. The way the audience laughed throughout this made me realize once again, we are DEPRIVED of good comedies.
