The Declarative Linked Data Apps Community Group is working on Linked Data Templates (LDT) a generic means to access SPARQL backends over HTTP with CRUD interactions against their resources. As this work matures it could be transitioned to the W3C REC track.

LDT complements existing work on the Linked Data Platform (LDP), catalogues for datasets (DCAT), the Obligations and Permissions WG, and the Web of Things as an abstraction layer for services exposed as things.

Hi @draggett ,

I am the editor of LDT. We have put a lot of effort into the specification, but we have received very little feedback (especially specific to the document).

I would appreciate if you could initiate a discussion at @w3c, both on the the general approach and the document itself. I would be happy to answer any questions.
