- File:Betty Lennox015.JPG (delete | talk | history | logs).
- Image info says it was taken at the Los Angeles Sparks press day. This appears to be a professional photo, which is unlikely to be PD. (ESkog)(Talk) 05:04, 6 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

- Screenshot from a software tagged under self-cc-by, no such decleration at the software's homepage, there is a copyright notice there. Orphaned. Acather96 (talk) 05:58, 6 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

- File:FIM-25K.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs).
- Possibly copied from [1], though the image there currently is of lower resolution. Note that this user has also uploaded File:Flakeice.jpg (from [2]) and File:Flake evaporator.JPG (from [3]) and tagged them as his own work. —Bkell (talk) 06:28, 6 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Hmm, upon further investigation, it may be that the uploader is an employee of this company and is the photographer. For example, compare File:Tubeice.jpg with the image at [4]—they are the same photo, but the image here on Wikipedia is of much higher resolution. Again, compare File:Tube ice machine-1.jpg with [5]—they are the same photo, but the image here on Wikipedia is of higher resolution and shows more of the machine. So I am inclined to let these images stand, although it would be nice to have an explicit explanation from the uploader (but that's probably unlikely, since he hasn't contributed for almost a year). —Bkell (talk) 06:40, 6 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

- Copyrighted product packaging. The license given is {{PD-Pre1978}} but no evidence is given to support this claim. Kelly hi! 13:01, 6 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Note - previous deletion discussion here. Kelly hi! 13:04, 6 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep There isn't anything on the packaging that's copyrightable. The Dr Pepper 10,2,4 logo has been in use since WWII with no copyright notice. Since it had no notice, the Pre-1978 disclaimer is appropriate and it's PD. The rest is based on older [clearly text/oval PD] logos or is simply stripes (not copyrightable). Keep, per uploader. File has been revised to non-free status with sufficient rationale for inclusion. It supports critical commentary in the personal life section of the article. --Wikiwatcher1 (talk) 17:58, 6 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete. This image fails WP:NFCC#8. It shows Kirk Douglas praying at the Western Wall around 1973. The corresponding text in the article goes into depth about his Jewish upbringing and faith. The presence of this image does not "significantly increase readers' understanding of the topic" and its removal would not "be detrimental to that understanding"—this image does not provide understanding about Douglas's Jewish faith that is not already provided by the text. [Note: This is no longer the appropriate venue for this discussion (as it has been established that this image is indeed non-free), but as long as we're having the discussion here, it doesn't seem necessary to open another discussion at WP:FFD.] —Bkell (talk) 18:12, 6 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

- No evidence this photo is a work of the US federal government. Kelly hi! 14:15, 6 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete appears to be a work of a Puerto Rico local government, mistakenly thought to be public domain for that reason. —innotata 22:26, 6 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete I uploaded the image some time ago. I made the mistake of believing that if the image was of the Puerto Rico local government then it was public domain. Tony the Marine (talk) 02:47, 7 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

- No evidence of adequate permission. I tagged this image as lacking permission and it was altered to say that "It can be viewed and used by anyone with internet access". This does not make it public domain, or otherwise free to use at all, let alone enough for Wikipedia. —innotata 21:00, 6 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

- File:Paalen-Fumage-1937.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs).
- Uploader tagged this image with {{PD-self}}, but the article Fumage identifies it as artwork by Wolfgang Paalen, who died in 1959, so the self-authorship claim cannot be valid. —Bkell (talk) 22:25, 6 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
