There are two routes designated 1A in Prince Edward Island.

Route 1A on Western Prince Edward Island is 20 kilometres long and is an important connector from the Summerside area to the Confederation Bridge. The route runs from a junction with Route 2 at Travellers West to an interchange with the Trans-Canada Highway near Borden-Carleton, via the village of Bedeque.

The other Route 1A is a former alignment of Route 1 (the Trans-Canada Highqay) east of Charlottetown, and is known locally as the Pownal Road. The route starts at an intersection with Route 1 in Stratford and ends near Pownal.
