Hanwell is an exurban community and local service district in west-central New Brunswick, Canada, immediately to the southwest of Fredericton. As of 2001 the population was 3,470.

Formerly a farming community, two large residential subdivisions were constructed in Hanwell in the 1970s. Most residents commute to Fredericton. Hanwell is the location of Kingswood Park, a large entertainment centre and golf course.
