Darkwood Dub is an art rock band from Belgrade, Serbia and Montenegro.

Darkwood Dub were founded in 1988, and gradually became one of icons of Serbian rock scene. Their music is underlined by gentle bass rhythm and combined drums and rhythm machine, adorned with slide guitar and a lot of electronic effects. The lyrics is short and introspective, sung by offbeat voice of Dejan Vučetić, the main writer.

Apart from 6 official albums, the band participated in several joint projects (such as Belgrade Coffee Shop), authored the music for several movies and theatre shows. Also, the band was politically active by participating in many pro-democracy music projects.

Today, Darkwood Dub are probably the most relevant rock band in Serbia (which is unfortunately partly due to the decline in its rock scene in 2000's), and also enjoy a significant popularity in alternative rock fans accross ex-Yugoslavia.
