It'll be Alright on the Night—Was it really spelled "Alright"?

Seems crazy to me (and I'm an American, fer cryin' out loud).

Nonetheless, the "correct" spelling (all right) is unknown on Wikipedia. So I guess -- never having seen the show -- that it is/was "alright".

And dats ok wit me, boss.

I think, you might say unusually, that the less proper "alright" is more acceptable in Britain than the US. Beanhead McGinty 13:18, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it was indeed spelled "Alright" in the title of the show. Flapdragon 16:01, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As Denis himself put it " if one L is good enough for the Almighty then it is good enough for me". 201182.42.121.120 (talk) 17:15, 30 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

His daughter

His daughter "Maggie" is both his son and his daughter? What? This article really needs sorting out. NaiveAmoeba 21:09, 2 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Norden-spotting

Due to his very visible prescence on the streets of the West End of London and continued sightings of him by office workers thereabouts there has sprung up a game called Norden in which office workers relate which celebrities they have seen recently and points are awarded for them.

Really? He's 85, does he really get out all that much? (Not sure about "thereabouts there" either.) Anyway unless there's some proper source for this not very encyclopaedic comment it should probably go. Flapdragon 16:05, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Introducing horror films in mid to late 90s

I can't find a reference but if I recall correctly a presenter in a devil or demon mask with similar voice and physical appearance to Denis Norden introducing horror films on the BBC. Does that ring a bell or have I got him confused with someone else? Pleasetry (talk) 03:03, 9 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

That was Dr Walpurgis - nothing to do with NordenTheMathemagician (talk) 21:20, 2 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I remember him for the cleverest joke I ever heard, when he said that Mr Decarte told a companion under the table at midnight re. Mrs Decarte's New Year cakes "I think they're for 1 a.m." Well done, that man.92.176.83.212 (talk) 08:13, 28 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
