Pinkalicious & Peterrific is an American educational animated children's television series based on the Pinkalicious books by Victoria Kann and Elizabeth Kann. The program premiered on PBS Kids on February 19, 2018.[1] Designed to encourage preschool-age children to explore the arts and develop their creativity, the series follows Pinkalicious and her brother Peter as they imagine how the world looks through her artful eye. Each episode will include two 11 minute stories and live action. WGBH is working with Sixteen South[2] to produce 38 episodes in 2018.[3]
In January 2018, PBS Kids offered a sneak preview of Pinkalicious & Peterrific on its official website.
Voice cast
- Kayla Erickson[4] as Pinkalicious Pinkerton. She is an imaginative young girl who loves the color pink, as well as soccer, painting, tinkering, and using her creativity. She is the leader of her clique.
- Jaden Waldman as Peter Pinkerton[5], Pinkalicious' younger brother[4]. He likes riding his scooter, playing with blocks, and tagging along on Pinkalicious' adventures. He has some angst over being the youngest, as evidenced in "No Honking" in his song, "Music to Me".
- Molly Lloyd as Mom[6]. She is an inventor.
- Jayce Bartok as Dad[6]. He often gives advice to Pinkalicious and Peter.
- Justice Quiroz as Rafael,[6] Pinkalicious and Peter's friend[7]. His mother is Mayor Martinez[8] so his full name could be Rafael Martine. He has a dog named Rusty, and a younger sister who is the same age as Peter. He likes to paint. Even though he and Pinkalicious don't always agree, they're still friends. He probably has a crush on Pinkalicious as evidenced in "Glitterizer".
- Echo Picone as Kendra,[6] Pinkalicious and Peter's friend[4] She has straight shoulder-length black hair and wears dark clothing. She is very snarky and often makes scathing, sarcastic comments towards the other clique members. Although, she'll usually come through in the end and go along with Pinkalicious' ideas.
- Daia Johnson as Jasmine,[6] Pinkalicious and Peter's friend[7] She has curly black hair in bunches held by yellow ribbons. She likes the color yellow, as well as playing the recorder.
- Raleigh Shuck as Lila,[6] Pinkalicious and Peter's friend[7] She has brown hair braided in twintails, dresses in purple, and plays soccer. She is a member of Pinkalicious' clique, but isn't seen hanging out with them often due to her shy nature. She is very sensitive, as shown in "Slumber Party", where she misses her mom at the titular slumber party, and in "Peter's Blues", where she easily gets discouraged after Peter sings about her missing the net in soccer.
- Rebecca Soler as Mayor Martinez, the mayor of Pinkville and Rafael's mom. She is a bit of a drama queen, as shown in "Peter's Blues" where she cries over her favorite pencil breaking.
- Blanca Camacho as Mrs. Plum and Ezra Knight as Mr. Plum, they have a poodle named Pinky who Pinkalicious has puppy-sat, and Pinkalicious has encountered them on the sidewalk in multiple episodes.
- Gertie is a pink dragon and Goldie is a unicorn[9]
