Configuration Management Version Control (CMVC) was a software package that performed software version control and software configuration management functions. It was sold and distributed through the mid-late 1990s by the International Business Machines Corporation. CMVC sales and support terminated some time after IBM acquired Rational Software. Its functions were superceded by newer products in the Rational product line. Some installations of CMVC remain in use as of 2006.
