MKA Characters

You forgot to meantion that Chameleon, Khameleon, Meat and Monster were also not included in the picture.

Well, to be fair, Chameleon, Khameleon, and Meat were pastiche characters, and Monster only showed up for a brief moment in the Konquest Mode of Deception (the characters in the picture only represent characters in the regular game modes). Although I'd love for Monster to show up ^_^ The S

Technically, Reptile and Noob Saibot, arguably two of the series' most popular characters, began their lives as "pastiche" characters. I'd really like to see Khameleon appear in Armageddon so that her storyline can be drawn upon more (i.e., we find out if she actually manages to tell Reptile the truth about their race). Jeff Silvers 02:45, 23 January 2006 (UTC)

Indeed, as well as Jade and Smoke. If I had my way, each of those characters mentioned would be playable in Armageddon. But, for the love of Raiden, Chameleon and Khameleon weren't even in Deception's Konquest mode which boasted "every character thus far". Either Midway forgot about them, retconned them out of the series, or (I hope), have something planned for them in the future. The S

True. Anyway, it may be a moot point; if they don't include the characters, you could always just create (kreate?) them in Kreate-a-Kombatant. Jeff Silvers 23:38, 25 January 2006 (UTC)

Khameleon hasn't been forgotten about, not entirely. They did mention her in MKDA's Konquest, when you failed one of Nitara's Kama missions. So there's a wee bit of hope for her, I'd say. Wouldn't be so optimistic about Chameleon's chances, though. Shadaloo 09:09, 31 January 2006 (UTC)

She was also more recently referenced as an ally of Reptile for his Mortal Kombat: Deception trading card, further acknowledgement of their possible ties together. Goroliath

This is rated M

Although the rating is pending, the game will be rated M for Mature so someone should change it.

The game will more than likely be rated "M", but it would probably be best until it is officially rated to state such on the page. Wikipedia likes things to be official when it comes to these kinds of things. The S

More than likely? I'll bet my soul on it. Rune[1]

Information on The Fighter's Generation website

According to The Fighters Generation website, Evil Raiden, Classic Sub-Zero, Tarkata Shao Kahn, Hellbeast, Sierra, Tao Long, Drako, Terra and Usui Hasashi are also in the game.

Should this be included in the article? I haven't seen information about these characters appearing anywhere else, and TFG is really just a fansite. Jeff Silvers 23:42, 25 January 2006 (UTC)

-I don't think so. Nothing should be listed here unless it's official info. Shadaloo 00:39, 26 January 2006 (UTC)

The owner of said site is known to be biased when it comes to Mortal Kombat, so I'd take it with a grain of salt. The S

Mortal Kombat Wikiproject

Not to spam, folks, but I decided that since there seems to be quite a few users identifiable as regularly editing the MK entries, we should start our own Wikiproject. I've added it to the proposed project list. I've already got some support over on MKOnline to do it, if you'd like to see it happen, show some love and sign. I seriously think, what with the ridiculously obscene amount of info about the series, our efforts would be better spent coordinated. I'm not suggesting that we start from scratch on everything, but to be honest, there's a hell of a bit that needs cleaning up.

I know it's not strictly Armageddon related, but I've decided to put this here, as it seems to be, at the moment, the hotspot on wikipedia for MK talk. Let me know what you think here, or hit my talk page. Shadaloo 08:16, 3 February 2006 (UTC)

As someone who has played Mortal Kombat since its inception, and one who also owns at least one copy of every title to date (save for Shaolin Monks), I hereby add my opinion that a MK Wikiproject is a good idea. The S

Thirded. On one of the MK Wikis' discussion pages, I expressed a concern over what a mess some of the pages are. Admittedly, I didn't get round to fixing them like I said I'd try, but if this was to become a group effort then it should be easy.
Just as a reccomendation for something I feel could do with sorting sooner rather than later, I'd reccomend we all give focus to the MK TV shows. The Wikis for the characters in Conquest and, indeed, the Conquest Wiki itself, are really remarkably sparse. I know Vorpax, Siro and Taja aren't canon characters, but for as many episodes as they were in, they deserve more than a paragraph or two each. Personally, I'd volunteer what information I could for that, but I'll have to stress the remarkably poor handling of Conquest on DVD in the UK, it completely ignores about 8 episodes and present most of the rest in the wrong order and even combines episodes into mini-movies!
Anyway, yes, this would be a good idea for a Wikiproject, imo. Wikipedia should be an easy-to-use resource for MK fans wanting to know about their favourite characters. --L T Dangerous 22:04, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
That's definitely something I was thinking about. Conquest characters, Malibu comic characters, no stone unturned. Conquest in particular was of note; it introduced some great characters who I felt would have been right at home in the games (I remember a really great wasp-queen character whose name eludes me at he moment). LT, your contributions in that vein would be most welcome!

And on that note, we're off!

GameCube?

Will it be for GameCube???

At this time, Midway has made no announcement for a version of Armageddon for any system other than Playstation 2 and XBox. However, they may announce something later in the year, as they did with Deception, but I wouldn't hold my breath. The S 03:08, 28 February 2006 (UTC)

The Story

What's the hell up with that? There's nothing that's been said about it all it does is sum up the entire storyline. PNF 19:51, 28 February 2006 (UTC)Proud Nintendo Fan

Be patient, my friend. At this time two years ago, we didn't know all that much about Deception's storyline. It will be revealed in due time. The S 03:53, 1 March 2006 (UTC)

I removed it. It isn't relevent to this game specifically and therefore didn't belong in this article. The real plot can be posted here when it is revealed. Jeff Silvers 01:28, 4 March 2006 (UTC)

Roster

Who's the person standing between Stryker and Sonya?

Jarek The S 03:34, 3 March 2006 (UTC)

if you mean the guy next to Sonya on the left hand side, a man in a red suit in the middle , and Stryker in right corner...
I don't know, but I am sure tyhe guy ontop of that red suit guy is Lui Kang...dead Lui Kang (doesn't he look like Darkadou Ryu)!?:P

It's Jarek. Jeff Silvers 01:29, 4 March 2006 (UTC)

Didn't I already say that? The S 03:07, 4 March 2006 (UTC)

... Yeah, I guess you did. How is it I didn't notice that? :P Jeff Silvers 17:20, 4 March 2006 (UTC)

Hero?

Who is this Hero character listed in the roster? His/her name wikilinks to Hero (Mortal Kombat), a page which doesn't yet exist, and I don't recall ever hearing about him/her in any other Mortal Kombat game. Is he/she a new character in Armageddon (perhaps the character used in Konquest, replacing Shujinko in that role)? If so, this probably needs to be addressed in the roster section. Jeff Silvers 17:24, 4 March 2006 (UTC)

It probably refers to the unnamed new character used in Konquest mode, because after doing his fatality in both video interviews (from Gamespot and IGN), the message "HERO WINS" appears. -- Lyon-Ard the Lorekeeper 18:29, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
