King-of-the-Salmon (Trachipterus altivelis), is a variety of ribbonfish, measuring 6 feet or more in length. Found off the Pacific shore of North and South America from Alaska to Chile, generally at a depth of over 1500 feet.

It has a long tapering grey body with red fins and large eyes. The anal fin is absent. It grows to about 183cm.[1]
