The Gordin Cell is a drama/thriller series developed for Israeli television by Ron Leshem and Daniel Syrkin. created by Ron Leshem. The series stars Ran Danker as Eyal Gordin, an Israeli Air Force officer and Mark Ivanir as Yaakov Lundin, a Russian Intelligence Agent.

The Gordin Cell is a drama thriller, at the center of which is a married pair of former spies forced to face their past when asked to surrender their son to Russian Intelligence to become a spy himself. Will he choose to betray his parents or his native country?.

  • Mark Ivanir as Yaakov "Yasha" Lundin - a Legend in the heyday of Soviet espionage, but forgotten here. The new generation of commanders in the SVR (which replaced the KGB) has no knowledge of his former greatness and respect that used to be afforded to him. He wants to leave as a winner, with a major last operation on his resume, bit in fact he does not want to leave at all, having getting used to being an Israeli. Only his wife Esther pressures him to leave.

In 2012, NBC purchased the broadcating rights in U.S., and NBC approved the shooting of the pilot for the American version, which is expected to called "M.I.C.E" Money, Ideology, Coercion & Ego. but soon the series has been cancelled. On May 2014, NBC ordered a pilot of 'Allegience', A CIA drama based on the israeli tv show, created by David Hope.
