Task:

1. Find a peer-reviewed journal article on PubMed. Practice inserting your citation in the above space using the "cite" tool
2. Choose one "B-level" medical article on Wikipedia from the following list: https://wp1.openzim.org/#/project/Medicine/articles?quality=B-Class&importance=High-Class
3. Practice editing live on Wikipedia by finding a typo in the text or improving the clarity/readability of a sentence by adjusting a few words in a sentence.

• Addition of: “Early phases of MF are difficult to diagnose because its histopathological hallmark features (i.e. Pautrier's microabscesses and epidermotropism) are often absent in early MF. Furthermore, long periods of treatment before a biopsy is performed can cause the specimen to have “non-specific” histopathological features, making it difficult to distinguish from other inflammatory dermatoses.”^[1]
• Location of the change: end of the “Histology” subsection in the “Diagnosis” section.
• Rationale for Proposed change: This would improve the article because it provides additional information on early MF, cautions against relying solely on histopathologic results from biopsies and emphasizes the need to obtain a detailed patient history and clinical correlation in order to obtain a definitive diagnosis. There was consensus in the small group regarding making this change.

• Critique of Sources: Since this was a literature/narrative review, the author did not explicitly state the search strategy it used to obtain supporting evidence and did not evaluate the quality of the evidence that was included. Together, this could contribute to reporting bias and selection bias, where the author uses evidence that supports his or her stance on a topic. However, for a narrative review, it is comprehensive, as it described the clinicopathological variants of MF, how a differential diagnosis could be made, treatment options, and it provided images of histopathological evidence as well as pictures of the lesions on patients. Lastly, the author used up to date evidence from primary and secondary sources in this narrative review. Therefore, the group has decided to include this source only for the above proposed changes.

• This will also be covered on Nov 15th in class. Your group should use the below template to share an outline of your proposed improvements (including your new wording and citations). The Wikipedia community will be more interested in viewing your exact article improvement suggestions including where you plan to improve the article (which section), what wording you suggest, and the exact citation (Note: all citations must meet WP:MEDRS)
• You will not be able to paste citations directly from your sandbox to talk pages (unless you are interested in editing/learning Wiki-code in the "source editing" mode). We suggest re-adding your citations on the talk page manually (using the cite button and populating the citation by pasting in the DOI, website, or PMID). You will have to repeat this process yet again when you edit the actual article live.
