You should ''show'' your readers how something is interesting and not ''tell'' them it's "fascinating", which doesn't actually impart any information. Saying it's the "''most'' fascinating" is presumptuous and only compounds the literary offense. I shouldn't have to tell you what's wrong with "but new to Wikipedia, am I mistaken...", but it doesn't even make sense, and you omitted the necessary question mark.
