Caren Litherland is a (content) designer, writer, and editor in New York. She has collaborated with architects, musicians, Broadway performers, authors, independent record labels, and others. Her work has appeared on the walls of the Cooper-Hewitt, at the Los Angeles Theatre Center, in Communication Arts, in books, and around the web.
She is an alumna of A Book Apart, Type Network, A List Apart, and h&fj. Currently she works with AI Now Institute, Commercial Type, Fonts In Use, Typographica, and companies around the world. Clients include Adobe, AI Now Institute, Business Letters, Champions Design, Commercial Classics, Commercial Type, Grilli Type, Google, Immigrant Defense Project, InVision (rip), Katherine Small Gallery, Monokrom, Production Type, Retype Foundry, Type Directors Club, and xyz Type.
She was the first editor of Typegeist and has served both as a tdc board member and as a member of ATypI’s College of Reviewers. Last but not least, she is proud to be an Alphabette.
