Description

I’ve always had a magpie instinct for anything bright and sparkly, and have been collecting rocks and mineral specimens for as long as I can remember. Their healing and metaphysical properties fascinate me, and this provided the inspiration to begin creating jewellery with semi-precious gemstone beads several years ago. More recently I’ve become hooked on incorporating lampwork glass in my designs, especially borosilicate glass, which displays the most amazing colours when viewed in natural daylight.

My formal education includes a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Biology and an MSc in Historic Conservation (of buildings) from Oxford Brookes University. Pretty soon after graduating I realised that working in an office environment was not for me and have been doing my best to avoid it ever since! Alongside designing jewellery, I teach Reiki courses and dabble in web design, photography and fantasy art.

My main passions in life are travel, the natural environment and a love of historic buildings (the older and crumblier the better!), all of which influence and inspire my jewellery designs.
