The Home Front Hero Rally lets our returning troops know that they are supported while saying thanks to our service men and women.
The returning service members of operation enduring freedom and Iraqi freedom were given excellent access to information, benefits, and employment rights prior to leaving for active duty. In some cases, new veterans are so anxious to resume a normal life that some of the needed information is lost in the excitement of returning home. The Vietnam era and older Veterans that returned from military service found themselves in a political atmosphere full of resentment and left to battle for a normal life. After time, these veterans would attempt to use their earned benefits, but because of lack of good communication, only some veterans would use their benefits.
The Home Front Hero Rally allows veterans and family members to become reacquainted with the benefits and rights that the veterans have earned.
