If you’re following social distancing guidelines the way you should be, then you’re stuck inside right now due to the pandemic. That really sucks, but that’s what streaming services are for, after all. With thousands of movies, shows and specials, Netflix always has your back when you’re looking for something to kill some time.
Today, April 15th, marks the middle of the month, too, so Netflix has a pretty substantial drop of 16 movies, 5 shows, and a single stand-up special to help keep you busy. You can check out a full list of titles included in this mid-month release below:
Films:
A Champion Heart (2018)
Fittest in Dubai (2019)
For Love or Money (1993)
For the Broken Hearted (2018)
LeapFrog: Letter Factory (2015)
LeapFrog: Numberland (2012)
LeapFrog: Phonics Farm (2011)
LeapFrog: Sing-along, Read-along (2011)

There’s never been a better time to try and catch up on all those films and TV shows that’ve been sitting on your watchlist for months now. After all, if you’re practicing social distancing and staying home as much as you can, there’s not much else to do other than to stream content from your platform of choice.
Speaking of which, the first streaming service most people log into is Netflix. And that only makes sense, as they have more content than ever and continue to deliver more and more on a near daily basis. And while they certainly aren’t the only streaming site worth subscribing to, they definitely have the most variety and the deepest library.
But with so many movies and TV shows, where does one begin? Well, how about with some of the new additions coming this week? Yes, a new week...

As news broke that Kirk Douglas, one of the last of Hollywood’s Golden Age stars, died on Wednesday, stars from Old and New Hollywood honored the three-time Oscar nominee as a “a pillar of Hollywood” and “inspirational scalawag” for his willingness to fight for (often) liberal causes.
Leading the tribute was Douglas’ son, Michael, a Hollywood star in his own right who first announced his father’s passing on Instagram.
“Kirk’s life was well lived, and he leaves a legacy in film that will endure for generations to come, and a history as a renowned philanthropist who worked to aid the public and bring peace to the planet,” Michael Douglas wrote.

Peter Larkin, whose innovative set design graced Broadway productions and major films, died Monday at his home in Bridgehampton, New York after a brief illness. He was 93 years old and his death was confirmed by his stepson, screenwriter Wesley Strick.
Larkin won four Tony Awards and was behind the set design for such Broadway productions as Peter Pan, The Teahouse of the August Moon and No Time for Sergeants. His film resume was equally impressive, including Tootsie and Get Shorty.
Born in Massachusetts and raised in Boston by Pulitzer Prize winning historian Oliver Waterman Larkin, he attended Yale.
Larkin’s Broadway debut came with Henrik Ibsen’s The Wild Duck in 1951. That led to his big break, the Broadway show of Peter Pan with actress Mary Martin. The show was so successful it immediately went to television within five months, setting a television record for the time with 65 million viewers.

It’s always a pleasure to be invited onto a film set, and even more so when you step into one where everybody seems to get on so well, which was the case on Mark Murphy’s The Revenger: An Unromantic Comedy.
And it’s a atmosphere which has infused the finished product too, as HeyUGuys were fortunate enough to be the very first UK outlet to watch the movie since its completion, and needless to say we’re big fans, as this congenial, very funny piece of cinema is all but set to be one of the stand-out British rom-coms of 2018.
Billed as ‘a fairy tale romance takes an unexpected turn when Mark discovers his beautiful bride-to-be, Connie, has actually been plotting against him’ – during our visit we saw a very early scene being shot, and around us were extras donning their smart, black attire – for...

Just when you thought you knew the formula to the archetypal romantic comedy by heart, director Mark Murphy presents The Revenger: An Unromantic Comedy, turning the genre on its head, to make for a light-hearted, playful affair, that takes an affectionately barbed, unique look at the modern relationship.
HeyUGuys were fortunate enough to be invited on the film’s set – anticipating an entertaining, fun day out in the summer sun. Then when we arrived it dawned on us today was the day they were shooting the film’s funeral scenes. And it was raining. Hooray!
But such is the nature of the film – and the affability of those involved – this wasn’t your typical funeral, as we watched on as lead stars Samantha Barks, Robert Kazlnsky and Ed Speelers lent a comedic touch to this supposedly miserable day.
Conducting an interview on location – and in the church (not in the confession booth,...
