Judas Priest are celebrating the 50th anniversary of their debut album Rocka Rolla with a newly remixed and remastered edition.
With fresh mixing work from longtime Priest producer Tom Allom, the reissue is set to release digitally on September 13th and on vinyl and CD on November 22nd.

Released in 1974, Rocka Rolla pre-dated Judas Priest’s heavy metal sound and saw the young British band playing a brand of bluesy hard rock with elements of psych and prog. It was recorded on a small budget during cheap overnight studio sessions by the group’s then-lineup of singer Rob Halford, guitarist Glenn Tipton, bassist Ian Hill, guitarist Kk Downing, and drummer John Hinch.
As Halford explained in the press release for the new reissue, the members of Priest were mostly satisfied with their work in the studio, but upon receiving the first pressing of Rocka Rolla,...

In anime as it is in reality, the theater is a stage of life. It’s where identities and connections are forged, where rivalries are played out for all to see, where young love is won and lost and, in one particular instance, where the very nature of storytelling is at its rawest. You’ve likely seen a class deliver a rendition of Romeo and Juliet or The Tale of Urashima Taro at the school culture festival more than once, but these titles own the spotlight when it comes to putting on a whole show about drama in the truest sense of the word. Whatever your theatrical preference — naturalism, revue, rakugo (a form of Japanese verbal comedy), 2.5D or improv — anime has you covered in multiple genres. A3! We’re Gonna Get Together and Put on One Last Show to Save the Community Theater: The Anime. “Act! Addict! Actors!” is...

The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Infinity Saga received an orchestral treatment in a show that debuted Friday night at the Hollywood Bowl, complete with a “Fantastic Four” post-credits tease. Following fireworks closing out a look back at the MCU films that culminated in “Avengers: Endgame,” composer Michael Giacchino ran out with some music for famed conductor Gustavo Dudamel, asking if they could take just… “four more minutes.”
When Giacchino turned around to exit the stage and watch, the crowd could see his blue sportcoat featured a Fantastic Four logo on the back. The orchestra then debuted the theme to the much-anticipated film, set for release on July 25, 2025.
The score has a jaunty vibe, perhaps a bit reminiscent of the “Ant-Man” score, but with its own retro vibes befitting the rumored 1960s setting of the project. The tune blends a dreamy sense with future-looking heroic optimism, along with elements that echo...

During the recent Gamescom Opening Night Live showcase, two new characters for Marvel Rivals were revealed; the first was Captain America, and the second was his lifelong friend, the Winter Soldier.
Throughout the Gamescom period, we have had access to these two characters and have taken advantage of their entire builds to test their limits and see how well they fit into this upcoming title.

As stated above, one of the two characters that were revealed during Gamescom was Captain America, but this version of the character isn’t one many would be familiar with.
This version of the character is from the 2099 universe, meaning that he has a more technologically advanced shield as well as a more metallic armor set.

Despite criticisms for the second season of House of the Dragon, it feels like the one thing viewers can agree on is that the cast is always fantastic. The first two seasons have introduced us to many characters, and even multiple actors playing the same characters due to time jumps. Throughout it all, there has not been one cast member who's disappointed me. The performances are excellent across the board, adding to the prestige quality of the show.
Though I have my favorite characters in House of the Dragon, choosing a favorite actor is difficult. They're all so good and bring nuances to their characters. I was shocked that I started wanting more Aegon on my screen in season 2, a character I can't stand, just because Tom Glynn-Carney's performance is so captivating. And even one of the writers, Sara Hess, was taken aback by how much people fell in...

The season 2 finale of House of the Dragon provides fans with a ton of setup for what's to come next, some of it interesting and some of it not so much. One storyline we're particularly interested in is Aegon's, who flees King's Landing with Larys in the final moments of the season. Though the character himself is truly awful, it's Tom Glynn-Carney's layered performance that has me so invested. And while Aegon might be at "rock bottom" right now, the actor teases that he will only become more interesting as the story progresses.
It might be deserved, but Aegon has a pretty rough season. Though he sits the Iron Throne and gains many followers, he's treated like a fool as he proves himself incapable of ruling the Seven Kingdoms. Not only that, but his power-hungry brother Aemond seemingly tries to kill him multiple times and, oh yeah, he nearly...

The House of the Dragon season 2 finale, "The Queen Who Ever Was," left me with about the same feeling that the season opener did--wanting more from the episode. Once again the chessboard was being set which, in all honesty, I've grown tired of. It's not the kind of note that one hopes for a finale to end on because there's no driving action. It's a "hurry up and wait" scenario that's unfulfilling.
Last season, we ended with the stakes at an all time high. Aegon had taken the throne and Rhaenys took her dragon to wing to inform Rhaenyra of the treachery and the play the Greens had made for her seat. Young Luke was killed by his uncle Aemond and that was the spark that lit the kindling. We were eager to see what Rhaenyra's anger and devastation would bring in the second season. There was a sense of urgency and coming vengeance.

Game of Thrones is coming back with a game. (Photo Credit – Instagram)
Game of Thrones star Kit Harington, aka the infamous Jon Snow has returned to play his iconic one-liner for a brand-new Game of Thrones mobile app. Although HBO’s fantasy drama ended in 2019, the show still has its influence on many other entertainment media as the rightful heir to the Iron Throne is back.
The 37-year-old appeared in an ad for the mobile game by Zynga. In the clip, Harington ditches his Westeros attire with a more modern look as he enters a low-lit bar. As the doors open, and dramatic music begins, he delivers his iconic line through a voiceover, “Winter is coming.” A woman walks up to greet him, “Welcome Mr. Harington.”

Sam Wilson is ready to pick up the shield, and not a moment too soon.
The first trailer for Captain America: Brave New World has dropped. Anthony Mackie’s feature debut as Cap feels more like a thriller from the 1990s, and not just because it has Harrison Ford in a presidential role. Directed by Julius Onah and co-written by The Falcon and the Winter Soldier showrunner Malcolm Spellman, Brave New World deals with a conspiracy within the White House, which means a lot of folks in nice clothes pulling guns and looking concerned in boardrooms.
But as Captain America: The Winter Soldier taught us, even a paranoid thriller is still an MCU movie, so lets look at the superhero goodness promised by the Brave New World trailer.

After the misfire that was The Falcon and The Winter Soldier Marvel is looking to get back on track with Captain America: Brave New World. The Captain America movies have arguably been some of the better Marvel movies since the new era of the franchise launched with Iron Man back in 2008. Perhaps the mix of the fantastical elements rooted in contemporary geo-political intrigue is what made them easier to consume than straight up alien invasions, wayward gods and wizards. There is that and the Captain America films have also featured the best action elements as well, which looks to be the same in this first teaser for the next chapter in the Sam Wilson saga. The teaser plays up the political intrigue,...

When it comes to churning out books, Stephen King and George R.R. Martin could not be further apart in their approach to writing books. While Martin takes quite the amount of time (given that his books are much bigger and merit more thought due to the complex nature of political intrigue) to finish his books, Stephen revealed how he is able to churn out so many books in a year.

Kick-started in 2008 with prime Robert Downey Jr. taking over as Iron Man, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has come a long way from its roots. What started as a series of interconnected movies soon expanded into one of the entertainment industry’s largest ever following the release of 2012’s The Avengers.
The ultimate crossover laced with an intricate storyline gave fans a complete look at arguably the best comic book live-action universe, complete with actors that became synonymous with their roles.
The Original Six Avengers from The Avengers (2012) | Marvel Entertainment
The success of such a crossover largely came off the expertise and brainwork of Kevin Feige, John Favreau, and other early leads who had worked in the early age of superhero movies, that started taking shape in the late ‘90s. However, what if that age had happened a bit closer?

Batman: The Long Halloween had been adapted into two films that, albeit handled poorly by Warner Brothers, were still relatively well received by fans. It seems that there could be a third film to round out the trilogy, as DC has announced its follow-up to The Long Holloween, a 10-issue series by the writer of Daredevil: Yellow, Batman: Hush, and Batman: The Long Halloween, Jeph Loeb.
A still from Batman: The Long Halloween
While there are no official indications of a threequel being made to round out the Long Halloween trilogy if a film were to be made, it is most likely that the actors of the other two films will reprise their roles for the third one. This would mean that Jensen Ackles, who essays the role of Soldier Boy for Amazon’s hit R-rated superhero shoe, The Boys, can return to voice Batman.

Before crafting the likes of Thanos and Killmonger, who are often considered some of the top Cbm villains, the MCU often struggled to get their villains right, which was apparent in their initial phases. However, the biggest exception during the cinematic giant’s early years was Red Skull, played by Hugo Weaving, who did an impeccable job playing the Hydra head.
Unfortunately, despite having a blast playing the character, Weaving didn’t return to reprise the role in Avengers: Infinity War and was replaced by The Walking Dead star Ross Marquand. Although The Matrix star has cited paycheck disputes as the reason for not returning in Infinity War and Endgame, economics doesn’t seem to be the lone reason behind his absence.

Renowned fantasy author George R.R. Martin stands by his principle on the importance of writing ‘gratuitous’ food scenes in his Game of Thrones book series. He has received several comments about the abundance of his narratives when it comes to writing about food, and many think his novels would have been a lot less thicker had he spared them the long descriptions.
Jack Gleeson and Lena Headey in Game of Thrones
But for the writer, it is very essential that he puts a premium on these types of scenes. Martin believes the journey matters more than the destination, so he wants the readers to see, feel, and even taste his words when they read them.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus was one of the main attractions of the hit NBC series Seinfeld. The brainchild of comedian Jerry Seinfeld, many of its storylines were inspired by real-life experiences of Seinfeld’s life. The series ran for 9 successful seasons and is considered one of the most influential sitcoms of all time.
A still from Seinfeld
The show in total consisted of 180 episodes throughout its entire run and while the makers pulled off some risky one-liners and jokes through them, one episode proved to be too extreme for the cast and they had to pull the plug on the episode. The details of that episode titled The Bet have been released online and one can understand why they did not go forward with the episode.

Killmonger so far appeared in 2 MCU projects (not counting ‘What….If?’) but according to recent polls, he’s been voted as the 5th best villain to ever grace the MCU screens.
Killmonger’s greatness as a villain lies in his multifaceted character traits. His motivations are purely derived from personal and systemic oppression, as he aims to use Wakanda’s resources for global liberation. He has a relatively sympathetic backstory, and it certainly helps that he was portrayed with depth and emotion, by Michael B. Jordan’s charismatic performance.
The results are taken from Ranker’s poll of MCU villains, with 53 names on the list, I have to admit I was surprised by some choices. Thanos naturally took the number 1 spot, and I’m not sure whether this will change, even with the introduction of a new villain. Killmonger has appeared in two MCU projects (excluding ‘What If?’), and recent polls have voted him as the 5th best villain in MCU history. His greatness as a villain comes from his multifaceted character, with motivations rooted in personal and systemic oppression. His relatively sympathetic backstory adds depth, and Michael B. The rankings are from Ranker’s poll of MCU villains, which included 53 names. Some choices surprised me. Thanos predictably claimed the top spot, and it’s uncertain if this will change despite new villains. Loki came in second, although Hiddleston has hinted he doesn’t see him as a true villain.
Further through the rankings, Ultron claimed the third spot, a notable feat considering his single appearance. Hela secured fourth place, also standing as the sole female villain in the top 10. Helmut Zemo landed sixth, followed by Red Skull in seventh,...

Sebastian Stan is among one of the earliest MCU stars, having been a part of the evergrowing franchise since Captain America: The First Avenger. Moreover, Stan’s chemistry with his co-stars Chris Evans and Anthony Mackie has been a fan-favorite element aside from his character development as Bucky Barnes / Winter Soldier.
Sebastian Stan in Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014)
As a result, it might come as a surprise to fans that neither Evans nor Mackie is responsible for Stan’s MCU success, as per the actor’s own admission. Instead, the Winter Soldier actor credited a surprising MCU co-star with his longevity and continued popularity in the franchise. Here is who Stan believes contributed greatly to his MCU success.

The mantle of Captain America has been passed to Anthony Mackie’s Falcon, marking a new chapter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). After inheriting the shield from Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers, Wilson’s journey as Captain America began in the 2021 series “Falcon and the Winter Soldier.”
Anthony Mackie || Captain America: Civil War
There, he worked alongside some talented stars like Sebastian Stan (Bucky Barnes) and Daniel Brühl (Baron Zemo). As Marvel has forayed from the TV to the movies and will focus more on Captain America, there are fewer chances of these two actors making a bigger impact in the future. Thus, their absence will be felt, not only by fans but by Mackie as well.

Headed by seasoned filmmaker James Gunn. DC Studios is finally finding its footing back. Gunn’s era at DC is set to start with a reboot of the Superman film series. The filming of what will be the first DC film under Gunn’s supervision Superman, previously titled Superman: Legacy has commenced in Svalbard, Norway.

Filming in the Arctic means that viewers will see Clark Kent in his Fortress of Solitude. All to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his adoptive human family; as the premise suggests. However, the film might share a similarity with Christopher Reeve’s Superman II, from the 80’s. And it might have something to do with the Fortress of Solitude.

Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, Anthony Mackie is one of the primary actors in the present MCU as the new Captain America. Although there is time for this version of Captain America to get his solo venture, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier gave us a glimpse of Sam Wilson in action with the iconic Shield. Interestingly, during the promotional campaign for the Disney+ series, Mackie revealed that he wanted his character to have a romantic sub-plot with Black Widow.
Anthony Mackie as The Falcon in Captain America: The Winter Soldier
We have followed a fascinating chemistry between Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers and Scarlett Johansson’s Natasha Romanoff in the MCU. Their duo was a fan favorite and attracted a massive fan base. Before becoming Captain America, Anthony Mackie also wanted Marvel to explore a romantic angle between him and Black Widow.

Just when he thought he was out, they pulled him back in.
Emmy-winning writer Terence Winter is returning to Tulsa King.
The Sopranos veteran is back on board the Paramount+ drama after being the showrunner of its 2022 debut season. The series follows a former mobster, played by Sylvester Stallone, who forms a new crime empire in Oklahoma.
Winter and Tulsa King‘s creator and executive producer Taylor Sheridan famously conflicted about the creative direction of the series. After Winter stepped away, the big question became who was going to take over his gig, given Sheridan’s self-professed preference for remaining hands-on with his shows. Stallone, likewise, has firm opinions about the writing in his projects — having written and co-written the screenplays for many of his hit films over the years — and claims some of the show’s dialogue was his own creation.

Exclusive: Terence Winter, the writer-producer known for his work on Boardwalk Empire, The Sopranos and more, will team with Vincent Piazza, Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way and Phiphen to develop Midge, a tragicomic feature based on an absurd but true, as-yet-untold story.
At the center of it is Thomas Midgley, Jr., the man who in the first half of the 20th century invented two of the most toxic and disastrous chemicals humankind has ever known — leaded gasoline and Freon —without having even been a chemist.
In a statement on the project, Winter told Deadline that “the only thing crazier than this story is that it hasn’t already been told.”
He’s teaming with Piazza to pen the script and both will exec produce, along with automotive journalist Jamie Lincoln Kitman, who also serves as a research consultant on the project. Phiphen’s founder Molly Conners will produce alongside Academy Award nominee Rachel Winter (Dallas Buyers Club). Director meetings are underway.
Winter is best known for creating the acclaimed HBO series Boardwalk Empire, as well as for producing and scripting dozens of episodes of The Sopranos, for which he earned three Emmy Awards. In his 25-plus years in television, he’s also won three PGA awards and four from the WGA. Also the creator of HBO’s Vinyl, he’s otherwise best known for scripting Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street. More recently, he co-wrote Paramount’s Bob Marley: One Love, which is out in theaters now.
Piazza is best known for his work on the acting front, having appeared in everything from Boardwalk Empire and Clint Eastwood’s Jersey Boys to the Sylvester Stallone starrer Tulsa King and IFC thriller Centigrade.
Most recently, Appian Way produced the DiCaprio starrer Killers of the Flower Moon, helmed by Scorsese, which is up this year for 10 Academy Awards, including Best Picture.
Phiphen’s recent projects include the comedic thriller Coup! starring Peter Sarsgaard, which premiered at last year’s Venice Film Festival and will be released by Greenwich Entertainment, and the Nicolas Cage Western Butcher’s Crossing.
Winter is repped by CAA, Lbi Entertainment and Jackoway Austen Tyerman; Piazza by Gersh, Untitled Entertainment and Goodman, Genow, Schenkman.

Winter had a chilling effect on Broadway last week, with most shows reporting at least some downturn at the box office and overall receipts dropping nearly 10% from the previous week.
In all, box office for the 24 productions totaled $21,192,251 for the week ending February 11, with attendance of 187,573 down about 12% from the previous week.
Only a half-dozen shows bucked the downward trend, most notably Sweeney Todd, which on February 9 welcomed Aaron Tveit and Sutton Foster as the permanent replacements for Josh Groban and Annaleigh Ashford (understudies had been filling in since the originals departed January 14). Grosses for the Sondheim revival were up $402,763 for a $1,260,185 total.
Joining the roster was The Notebook, just a few seats shy of selling out all of its first three previews at the Schoenfeld Theatre. The production, with music by Ingrid Michaelson and a book by Bekah Brunstetter, grossed $364,678 for the three performances, with a healthy average ticket...

Ask anyone who works in the fashion industry, and they’ll be quick to tell you it’s a competitive, sometimes brutal business — and they wouldn’t dream of doing anything else. Another truism: The creatives behind it outwardly seem to possess spines made of steel, and yet every element of their soul will go into a collection.
That was undeniably true on the first day of New York Fashion Week, when Prabal Gurung presented a wholly poetic Fall Winter 2024 collection inspired by personal loss. The Singapore-born Gurung was raised by Nepali parents in Katmandu, and he’s often said that he knew from an early age that he wanted to come to the U.S. and launch his own label; that decision, however, strained his relationship with his father, who died this past November. “I always had a fraught relationship with him, and now I had to go back...

The intense zombie series “Black Summer” returned to Netflix for its second season on June 17, 2021, but it’s now been nearly three years since we last heard a peep from the series.
So what’s the deal? Is “Black Summer” Season 3 ever going to bite its way onto Netflix? Well, a report from What’s on Netflix this week suggests the series has been cancelled.
The site reports, “Black Summer was expected to have been ghost-canceled last year, but finally, we’ve got confirmation that the series won’t be returning for a third outing on Netflix.”
This news comes as no big surprise, as series creator John Hyams (Sick) had responded to a tweet back in April 2023 with a simple “Sadly, nah,” when asked if “Black Summer” Season 3 was ever going to happen. It seems the final nail has now been hammered in.

Hollywood actor, children’s author and proud Save the Children ambassador Isla Fisher has returned to Scotland – just a few miles from where she grew up – to learn more about how the charity is supporting families across the country amid the cost-of-living crisis and helping children get the bright future they deserve.
Born to Scottish parents, Isla spent much of her childhood in Bathgate (west Lothian) until she was six before moving to Australia where her late father worked as a Save the Children executive. Returning to her childhood home as a mother of three, Isla witnessed first-hand how the charity works with local partners to provide an array of emotional and practical support for families facing hardship.
She said: “This visit is highly personal for me as Scotland is the home of my ancestral roots. I still have relatives dotted around the area and many fond memories of growing up here.
