With YouTube, a channel ID is a unique identification used in a YouTube URL (Uniform Resource Locator) to link to a YouTube channel. For example, the following URL links to the Computer Hope YouTube channel with "CkDYIeGnavKtlGDuC0v4iyw" as the channel ID.

How to find your YouTube channel ID

  1. Log into your YouTube Studio through the profile icon in the top-right corner of YouTube.
  2. Click the Customization link in YouTube Studio.
  3. In your channel profile information, you'll see the Channel URL with the channel ID.

How to find another YouTubers channel ID

  1. Open a video of the YouTuber you want to look up.
  2. Use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+U to view the source code. If you're using another device or computer without a Ctrl key, see: How to view the HTML source code of a web page.
  3. In the source code, search (Ctrl+F) for "channelID" which should match code similar to the following JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) code. The letters and numbers in the next quoted text are the YouTube channel ID.
"channelId":"UCkDYIeGnavKtlGDuC0v4iyw"

Adding this text to the end of the URL "https://www.youtube.com/channel/" opens the YouTuber's channel and is the full URL with channel id.
