After relinquishing the Miss Uganda pageant, Ms. Sylvia Owori is
channelling her energies into publishing. The lady who revived and
glamourised the Miss Uganda pageant in 2001 after a four-year lull is
now at the helm of African Woman, a glossy 100-page magazine.
The enterprising fashionista launched her latest project at a high
society do held at the Garden City's Exhibition Hall last Thursday. The
glowing Owori, decked out in a white outfit, seemed confident that this
venture would outlive her four-year stint as Miss Uganda organiser.
