Polaron plc (LSE:POL) was floated on AIM in March 1994 and is the holding company for a group of businesses involved in providing intelligent control solutions predominantly for buildings but also for civil, military and aerospace. Our complementary brands have widened our product portfolio enabling us to move into new markets, bringing in significant technical expertise and resources to help drive the development of the business and its ability to be the supplier of choice for major control projects worldwide.

William David FCA, Non Executive Chairman , aged 55, graduated from Oxford University in 1973 and joined Touche Ross & Co. with whom he qualified before moving to the Quotations Department of the Stock Exchange. In 1983 Will joined the corporate finance team at Hoare Govett & Co., where he specialised in advising small and mid-cap companies. In 1994 he joined the corporate advisory division of Price Water house and Co. and most recently he was a corporate finance director at Investec Bank (UK) Ltd where he also had some responsibility of compliance. From October 2001 to November 2002 he was a non-executive director of Drew Scientific Group Plc. He was appointed a Non-executive Director of the Company on 4 March 2004.

Joe Stelzer, Chief Executive, aged 39, joined the Group in 1988 and founded the Software Republishing division. In 1993, he became managing director of Polaron Controls, and five years later assumed the role of Chief Executive of Polaron Engineering. Joe was appointed Chief Executive of Polaron plc on 31 January 2004. Following the successful listing of the company on the Alternative Investment Market on 4th March 2004, Joe has been the architect behind a strategic plan of acquisitions and disposals. Sales and profit growth in the last two years has been in excess of 100%.
