Integrated BioControl Systems: Natural Control of Plant Pests
Description
BioControl Systems, owned by Integrated BioControl Systems, Inc., is a biological control company that specializes in the development, production, and sales of living organisms that control pests of the home, garden, turf and farm. We use advanced biological and information technology to provide you, the customer both the product and the information necessary for optimal use, evaluation and application. We are committed to the development and use of artificial media to produce the highest quality and least expensive biological control agents. BioControl Systems is owned and managed by Donald W. Sturniolo.
We are located in southeastern Indiana. The company has been in the same location since January, 1999, which doubled our research facilities and our production capacity. Our facilities are located in Greendale, Indiana, in close proximity to both Greater Cincinnati, Ohio and Covington International Airport.
We produce and market five species of insect parasitic nematodes. The nematodes that we market are Symbion™ Temperate, South and North; Heterorhabditis bacteriophora, Heterorhabditis indica, Heterorhabditis marelatus. We also produce No Flea™; Steinernema carpocapsae (Sal strain), and market Gnat Not™; Steinernema feltiae. From this basket of nematode species we can choose an appropriate nematode to provide control of a wide array of insect pests including grubs, root feeding weevils, fleas, fungus gnats, and sod webworms, armyworms, codling moth, corn rootworm, Colorado potato beetle, bagworms, tree borers, and tent caterpillars.
